Platform

After choosing your product, the next important thing to do is to choose a suitable online platform or avenue to sell your products or services. I have tried selling things using blogger, .com domain, Ebay, Twitter and also Facebook.

Facebook
Facebook is increasingly popular and more compatible for businesses to sell things online. I suggest opening up a new Page and asking your friends to like and share the page. With much, proper and constant sharing, more people would be aware of your page and like your page. These people would mean also higher publicity and higher buyer rate. Don't overlook this fact because other great businesses are also turning to Facebook page to sell their products. Over than the page, there is also several apps that can be used to aid you in selling things online. These apps are quite easy to use and I've used them too. Apart from that, there is a MarketPlace for you to sell your products too..
And on Facebook you can sell anything, be it a product like gifts or apparels to services.

"Why Facebook" you would say? Well it is just so obvious that Facebook is the largest social networking site with MILLIONS of users. So why not tap on them? You can easily get international costumers too. Also, Facebook is easy and simple to use and most importantly, FREE.

The good thing about the third party platform is that they already have a large pool of audience, so you don't have to worry about getting traffic. It is the easiest way to sell your product online as you just need to insert the photo of your items or your description of your service. However, these platforms might charge you a small fee or commission for using their website.

Here is a list of third-party platform and guide that you can use to either sell your products or services.
Own Website
Of course, you can sell your things or product with your own website. However, this might be tricky and quite hard especially for those who have little knowledge on building and hosting a website. I'm one of those who are very very weak at it! So, unless you are confident and have a strong knowledge on it, you should not try to do it. Alternatively, you can try other easy website building like blogger, weebly, wordpress and buy your own domain.

Having a website with your own domain definitely gives a good impression of your product or service. When I first started selling gifts online, I wanted to set up my own website. So what I did was I used Dreamweaver and did a very simple layout. I then went to GoDaddy.com to register for a domain and to host my website. As a whole it was quite hard for me as I am a noob at these kind of things. But you can try building your own website if you want.
